Harabakoa is surrounded by mountains at an altitude of about 530 m, which means that the climate is pleasant here, during the day the temperature in summer reaches 33, but at night it cools down noticeably.
The city is considered rich, clean and has a very low crime rate. Here you can find everything you need for everyday needs, several supermarkets, good hospitals, doctors, pharmacies and a huge number of restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
Education is also not neglected; in addition to good public schools, there are two other international private schools.
Many wealthy Dominicans from Santo Domingo or Santiago spend their weekends or vacations here.
